Implementation Committee

Purpose/Mission

The Implementation Committee supports the implementation of the NYS Comprehensive Cancer Control Plan's nine goal areas through state, county and local activities by:

  • Facilitating the identification and dissemination of resources for implementation of the state plan priorities.
  • Assisting in the development of a list of priority strategies, which focus on evidence-based system changes and research to have the greatest population-reaching impact on reducing the burden of cancer in New York State.
  • Promoting and assisting in the use of the priority strategies throughout the state via organizational contacts such as Area Health Education Centers, the Community Health Centers Associations of New York State, The New York State Association of Rural Health, state and local business alliances, major oncology providers, primary care networks, healthcare payers, and more.
