Implementation CommitteePurpose/MissionThe Implementation Committee supports the implementation of the NYS Comprehensive Cancer Control Plan's nine goal areas through state, county and local activities by:
SubcommitteesResources and Development SubcommitteeDevelops documents, presentations, contact information lists and other resources for use by local coalitions, other stakeholders and partners in the implementation of the plan. Incorporates information and basic guidance about grant opportunities for comprehensive cancer control and explores dedicated funding with granting agencies. Works in collaboration with the Communications Committee to produce and publish information. Healthcare Systems SubcommitteeIdentifies and works with major healthcare systems to promote the use of priority strategies of the state plan. Employer Systems SubcommitteeIdentifies and works with major employers and corporate organizations to promote the use of priority strategies of the state plan. Education Systems SubcommitteeIdentifies and works with secondary and post-secondary educational institutions to facilitate the implementation of the state plan.
