Committees

The NYSCC operates under the direction of a Steering Committee and five standing committees: Communications Committee, Evaluation Committee, Implementation Committee, Membership Committee, and Policy Committee. Members represent organizations and individuals, including survivor, caregivers and others affected by cancer, and support the Mission and Vision of NYSCC and the New York State Comprehensive Cancer Control Plan. Committee membership reflects the cultural, demographic and geographic diversity of New York State.

These committees work with the assistance and guidance of two advisory groups, the Cancer Center Directors and the Resource Teams. Using the expertise and recommendations of these groups, the Consortium prioritizes the goals listed in the NYS Comprehensive Cancer Control Plan and provides members with access to experts in the field of cancer control.
